Mother & Baby

Good health before and during pregnancy lays the foundation for a strong and healthy future for both mother and baby.
CureHealth’s protocol is designed to support women who are preparing to conceive or are already pregnant, ensuring their bodies are well-nourished and ready.
Our all-natural supplements are safe to take during preconception and pregnancy, focusing on optimal gut health as part of a holistic approach to wellness.
During this time, mothers follow the core protocol and also include a specialized supplement containing folic acid and inositol, essential nutrients that support healthy fetal development.
With CureHealth’s ‘Mother & Baby’ programme, you can embark on this journey with confidence, knowing you’re giving your baby the best start in life.

A CureHealth Initiative
Maternal inflammation and a challenging environment during pregnancy can significantly impact fetal
neurodevelopment, increasing the risk of neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders in offspring.
This impact can be attributed to disruptions in brain development, altered placental
function, and epigenetic changes.
What is epigenetics?
- The study of changes in organisms caused by modification of gene expression rather than alteration of the genetic code itself.
- Epigenetics is the study of how cells control gene activity without changing the DNA sequence.
- “Epi-“means on or above in Greek, and “epigenetic” describes factors beyond the genetic code.
- Epigenetic changes are modifications to DNA that regulate whether genes are turned on or off.
- These modifications are attached to DNA and do not change the sequence of DNA building blocks.
- Because epigenetic changes help determine whether genes are turned on or off, they influence the production of proteins in cells.
- This regulation helps ensure that each cell produces only proteins that are necessary for its function. For example, proteins that promote bone growth are not produced in muscle cells.
- Environmental influences, such as a person’s diet and exposure to pollutants, can impact the epigenome.
- Epigenetic modifications can be maintained from cell to cell as cells divide and, in some cases, can be inherited through the generations.

How Maternal Environmental factors and Inflammation Impact Fetal Neurodevelopment:

Key Considerations:
Long-term Effects:
The effects of maternal inflammation and environmental stressors on fetal neurodevelopment can have long-lasting consequences, potentially influencing cognitive function, behavior, and mental health in children.
Vulnerability:
The immature fetal brain is particularly vulnerable to the effects of inflammation and
environmental stressors, making it crucial to address these issues prior to becoming
pregnant and during early pregnancy.

What is preconception care?

Preconception care focuses on optimizing the health of a woman and her partner before they become pregnant, aiming to improve both maternal and infant health outcomes. It involves identifying and addressing potential risks, educating individuals about healthy behaviors, and providing necessary interventions to maximize the chances of a healthy pregnancy.

The FIGO (Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) Preconception Checklist
The FIGO (Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) Preconception Checklist is a valuable tool for healthcare professionals to assess and address key factors impacting a
woman’s health before pregnancy. It helps ensure women are as healthy as possible before conceiving, which can improve both maternal and fetal outcomes.

Approach Considerations
4 – 6 months prior to planned
conception, implement our CureHealth protocol programme
starting with the gut health protocol and folate 400ug per day.
After completing at least 4 months of gut health protocol, transition to maintenance program (CureHealth Protocol #1 – #7)
Once Pregnant, change the Multivitamin #6 to a prenatal multivitamin & continue with CureHealth #1 (Vitamin C), #3 (Vitamin D/K2), #4 (Magnesium Malate) #5 (Probiotic) and #7 (Zinzino Balance Oil+)
You can follow the same protocol as above if initiating the gut health protocol when already pregnant.
